- Code activity: the daily number of commits and merges;
- Release history: the daily number of releases;
- User community: the number of unique authors;
- Longevity: the age of the project.
The ranges of every measure can be found in the vitality-ranges.yml file.

Extended description
Il Framework è un’insieme di componenti e funzioni che vengono poi utlizzate dalle varie applicazioni.
Il framework si occuppa di tutta la parte infrastrutturale fornendo poi alle applicazioni delle funzioni specifiche.
E’ sviluppato in Ruby secondo il paradigma del Model View Controller
Nel dettaglio il framework di preoccupa di:
- gestione database: dalla connessione all’esecuzione delle query
- gestione della sicurezza: sanitizzazione delle chiamate e controlli utente
- sistema di trasporto messaggi email ed sms
- Single SignOn mediante gli standard SAML2 e CAS: offre funzioni server e metodi client
